I am part of a small group of researchers from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. We are researching the Happy Return Program for Filipino workers in Korea to examine the impact that skills training programs have on the lives and job prospects of migrants in migrant-sending and receiving countries.
We will be conducting first-hand research in South Korea and the Philippines in January and will be meeting with workers, public and private institutional actors, and government officials. Would you be interested in meeting with us if you are located in Seoul or Manila? Do you have any suggestions of organizations or OFW's we can contact?
Thank you so much for your help and advice!
Sincerely,
Sara
Dom's reply: The Filipino EPS Workers Association (FEWA) in South Korea would be one of the appropriate organizations to talk to. You may visit their official forum website http://www.sulyapinoy.org/forum for its key officers.
